I’m Annie E. Davids and I founded AED Attorneys in September 2014. I am married with two children, and I am fluent in English and Afrikaans.
After matriculating from Vorentoe High School, I started my LLB at UJ (University of Johannesburg) in 2002, completing my studies in 2005, then graduating in May 2006.
I did my first-year articles at Scholtz Attorneys, then moved on in 2007 to expand my experience working at Standard Bank Executors and Trustees (Standard Bank) where I was a Senior Trust and Estate Planner until January 2011. This period allowed me a deeper understanding of the ties between inheritance, property, and estate planning.
From there, I moved to Schoeman Sejwane Grobler Inc., flexing my legal muscles in all aspects of operating a specialist legal operation. This laid the foundation for me to establish my own legal practice, with a focus on family and legacy — two things I truly believe in. [/pixel_column][pixel_column column=”span4″]
My aim is to provide a service that connects with clients, most of whom need sympathy and understanding or a wise voice to explain the finer points of family-related legal processes in South Africa. Many people find themselves faced with several attorneys who cover different aspects of the law, but don’t deal with deceased estates on a regular basis. I believe that it is possible to focus on a personal relationship with the clients so that processes and procedures run as smoothly as possible.
Trust and a long-standing relationship go hand-in-hand — knowing that you can come back to us, even years after we first established a client-attorney connection, is one of the key strengths found at AED Attorneys.
As a people-oriented person, I love to be with my family and enjoy reading .
